Sug Daniels is a charismatic singer-songwriter and story teller whose work combines elements of folk, R&B, and soul, creating music that’s colorful, personal, tender and hopeful.
King Jester is a multi-talented artist following in the footsteps of many jazz and blues greats, transitioning from studio/touring musician to band leader. Concert on Saturday, January 6 at Zoetropolis. MORE

Valerie and Benedict Turner are delightful ambassadors for Country Blues, the Piedmont style of fingerpicking, roots percussion, and the African-American culture from which it all springs. Bruce Molsky is one of the most revered “multi-hyphenated career” ambassadors for America’s old-time mountain music. Guitarist and singer Michael Daves’ unorthodox roots music has made him a leading light of the New York City bluegrass scene. Dubbed “the new gods of Irish music” and “the hottest Irish acoustic band on the planet”: Lúnasa’s unique sound and complex arrangements have reshaped the boundaries of traditional music and energized audiences the world over. They’re joined by singer and bouzouki player Daoirí Farrell, called “the most important singer to come out of Ireland in recent years” by some of the biggest names in Irish folk music.

It’s been almost 20 years since Lúnasa have played for SFMS, and we’re thrilled to have them on our calendar this spring! Get tickets early for this fantastic concert on Tuesday, February 27 at West Shore Theatre. MORE
